Mining Guide

Earn AetherCoin by contributing your computing power to secure the AEC network.

The easiest way to mine is using the built-in miner in our desktop wallet. Download the Windows or Linux version from the home page.

Once installed, create a new wallet and wait for the blockchain to synchronize. This ensures you are mining on the correct chain tip.

Navigate to the "Mining" tab. Select the number of CPU threads you wish to allocate. We recommend leaving one thread free for system stability.

Blocks you mine will appear in your transaction list. Note that mining rewards have a maturity period of 100 confirmations before they can be spent.
